Are you excited for Halloween this Sunday?

Last year's Halloween was not the most exciting for many, and as we start to return back to normal, we can begin to celebrate Holidays such as Halloween with others. Halloween is just around the corner and the d.tech community is excited to celebrate both together and individually. Everyone has unique and fun traditions and/or plans that they do, and costumes that they wear.

Lea Sounthong, a junior, expresses her excitement for Halloween. Her plan is to go to the Great America Halloween Haunt with friends. She also is excited to watch halloween movies and carve pumpkins. Her favorite part about the holiday is “to see the unique costumes everyone wears.” For traditions, Sounthong says “we go trick or treating with my little brother.” She plans on wearing a unicorn costume on halloween.

Sebastian Ackerman, a sophomore, also shares his enthusiasm for Halloween. Ackerman says his favorite part is “Dressing up and getting to see friends!” In regards to whether or not he plans on wearing a costume, he says he is still thinking, but definitely wants to wear one because it’s fun and exciting.

The Halloween dance is going to be on Friday the 28th from 7:15p to 10pm at d.tech. Olivia Moody, along with the other dance committee members in leadership, are putting on the dance. Tickets began selling at $5 a piece, but later increased to $10, and are now $15 at the door. There are going to be games, costumes, music, and many more fun halloween related activities.

Overall, Halloween is such a fun holiday to spend with family and friends. It is clear that people from the d.tech community are excited for the holiday. Everyone has their unique traditions and plans that they are excited for. Hopefully everyone will have a happy, fun, and safe halloween.
