¡Hola estudiantes!

This year, d.tech welcomes a new Spanish 1 and 2 teacher: Joe Schneider.

Schneider likes to joke that he came to d.tech because of the Bay Area weather, but he really came for the freedom. He liked that this school gives to the teachers to create their own classes and teach how they want. He also commented on his love for the student’ body’s personality. Ultimately, he loves the vibe that d.tech gives.

Schneider’s hidden talent is being excellent at rollerblade basketball (which is exactly what it sounds like). He also loves to sing and dance, his students know how much he incorporates it into his classes. If he could have a superpower, it would be the ability to manifest food at any time. With that power, something important that he would do would be to solve world hunger. He also would use that power to eat whatever food he wants whenever he feels like it. Speaking of food, Schneider’s favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, because it’s the closest he gets to having this superpower! Another food/drink related fun fact that he wanted to add is one of his favorite milkshake flavors, which is strawberry! Schneider really likes The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein, a book about economics. Schneider has no pets, but he says the subject is soon to change. His biggest pet peeve is losing small items. He says it happens far too often.
